Debunking Common Feminist Myths

Monica Edwards2 Comments

Here are some of the most common things I see feminists say, and some great sources as well as reasoning as to why these statements equate to nothing but propaganda:

Women Make 77 Cents On The Dollar!

Wage gap has been debunked, repeatedly. The very first place you need to look is the equal pay act which was signed in 1963. Since then it has not been overturned or discredited (no matter how much the feminists want to tell you that it has been). Women do not make less than men "on average". The studies that feminists will cite are biased. They love to distort the data in order to twist it to their advantage. There is no denying that shitty companies may do shitty things, but at the end of the day if you are being paid less simply because you are a woman, you can sue. It is illegal to do that and it has been illegal to do that for decades now. Keep in mind:

The Labor Department issued a study in 2009 which concluded that difference in income between the genders “are the result of a multitude of factors and that the raw wage gap should not be used as the basis to justify corrective action. Indeed, there may be nothing to correct. The differences in raw wages may be almost entirely the result of the individual choices being made by both male and female workers.”

One In Four Women Will be Raped

Though this is supposed to be specifically for college campuses (and still isn't true) feminists will use this as a universal statistic. In fact, the actual statistics (after a 6 year study) are alarmingly low for rape on college campuses:

Less than 1 percent of college students are the victim of a sexual assault — 0.6 percent to be exact — not to be confused with the 20 percent, or “one in five,” claimed by feminists and President Obama. (Source)

This kind of faulty data, which is widely believed by idiots has led to several problems. The Yes Mean Yes law being passed, and the whole situation of denying men due process in a trail by allowing campuses to try and punish men for rape without giving them any benefit of the legal system. Due to feminist over reaction and alarmist behavior a rape hysteria epidemic has started. False rape accusations are the new "Salem Witch Trials".  Considering the actual data we already have, and just logical reality, who in their right mind would send their daughter off to college if she had a 25% chance of being raped? No one. These days, mothers fear more for their sons, considering how likely they are to be falsely accused.

The Leading Cause Of Death For Women Is Men

Believe it or not, I've seen this more than once. The answer to this one is painfully simple after a google search, but I'll help you out anyway. The leading cause of death for women is heart disease (and across all races) not men. Unless suddenly men have gained the ability to induce heart disease in women, men are most definitely not the number on cause of death for women.

Women are more likely to be domestically abused

This isn't true either. Men are victims of domestic abuse and quite a bit. However, thanks to feminist theory and development of something called "The Duluth Model" society has come to believe that this isn't the case. In fact, a lot of people believe men cannot be abused by female partners at all. It seems that men are domestically abused just as much as women are.

Despite many findings that show almost equal amounts of abuse perpetrated against men and women, the media and government focus the most attention on the female victims of domestic violence. Men are largely silent on the issue because of the perception that men are physically stronger and should be able to subdue a female attacker easily.  (Source)

Feminists especially do not like to hear this. Not too long ago a billboard was erected to draw awareness to male victims of domestic violence. Feminists jumped at the opportunity to criticize this billboard for drawing attention away from female victims as they believed abuse of male was either rare or non existent.

A hashtag on twitter was started to draw awareness to all the crying feminists were doing over this. How unfair it was that anyone ever mention male victims of domestic violence. With things like the #HeForShe campaign that force people to pledge to stop VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN and exclude men, it's more than clear that feminists are set on the goal to deny that men are abused at all. Women are most definitely not more likely to be abused by their partners.

Teach Men Not To Rape!

Feminists seem to have this idea that men are the only rapists in the world, and that women can't or straight up don't rape anyone. They will always say stupid things like "don't tell me what to wear, teach them not to rape me". When in actuality it's rapists who rape. They know it's wrong, they just don't care. Feminists get really upset when it's suggested they learn self defense and protection because they truly believe men should just be taught not to rape. They also seem to think that rape by a random stranger is common place, when in actuality you are more likely to be raped by someone you already know.  In fact, given the false rape claim rate you are more likely to be falsely accused of raping someone than to be raped by a complete stranger.

Also the myth of being drugged (date raped) needs to die as well. Feminists are in the business of telling women to keep an eye on their drinks. The GHB and other drugs used to facilitate rape are common. Studies have repeatedly shown that the use of such drugs is rare. Feminists seem to want to keep this myth alive, that every man around is out there to rape you when it's just not true. Even when someone invented completely useless nail polish to detect GHB in drinks, feminists didn't like this either. It circled back to "Why don't you just teach men not to drug me". The most important thing to remember is ALCOHOL (and that alone) is the most common substance used to facilitate rape. A liquid people usually CHOOSE to drink.

Also lets not ignore the fact that women do rape men, and then there is the matter of female on female rape. Do not buy into what feminists say about any of these things, as they are easily debunked. Especially their rape propaganda.

In the end, feminists are in the business of lying to anyone and everyone about rape. Here are some great resources to combat what feminists will tell you about these subjects. Do not buy into their propaganda. They are easy to debunk. Hopefully this guide will help anyone who needs it in the future.
